The Rockford Fosgate RFK-HD9813M5 is a Gen-3 amplifier installation kit specifically engineered for 1998-2013 Harley-Davidson Road Glide, Street Glide, and Electra Glide models. This kit simplifies the process of upgrading your motorcycle's audio system by providing all the essential components for installing compatible Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, such as the M5-800X4 and TM400X4ad (sold separately). The kit features a plug-and-play design, ensuring a straightforward installation without the need for cutting or modifying your motorcycle's factory electrical system. It includes a heatsink to manage amplifier thermal output under demanding conditions, mounting brackets designed for both Bat Wing and Shark Nose fairings, and a wiring harness with 8 AWG power and ground wires, and 16 AWG speaker wires. The wiring also meets or exceeds AWG requirements, utilizing 100% pure crystal-oxygen free copper (PC-OFC). Installation compatibility is crucial; this kit is designed exclusively for the specified Harley-Davidson motorcycle models and the listed Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. It is important to consult the compatibility chart before purchase to ensure fitment. Additionally, the installation requires the factory Harley-Davidson radio to be flashed. The kit also supports the expansion of speakers in lower fairings, saddlebags, or Tour-Paks, and includes a rear speaker output harness.
