The VIS Racing AMS Style Carbon Fiber Hood is engineered for the 2010-2012 Ford Mustang 2-door models, offering a significant aesthetic and performance upgrade. Constructed from 100% Grade-A carbon fiber using a vacuum infusion process, this hood is designed to be both lightweight and durable. The top layer is bonded with epoxy resin and finished with a UV-protective polyurethane coating, ensuring a high-gloss, showroom-quality appearance that resists yellowing. The hood features a two-part construction with a smooth, one-piece underside shell that enhances structural integrity. The Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) further contributes to its strength and results in a part that is 10-20% lighter than traditional methods. This weight reduction can contribute to improved handling dynamics, a lower center of gravity, and enhanced responsiveness. For installation, hood pins are required for optimal safety. It is crucial to avoid reusing stock hood struts, shocks, or dampers, as these can exert stress on the carbon fiber material and potentially cause damage. Please note that this hood will not fit Shelby models.
