It is finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating, known as Poly Shield, which provides a high gloss finish. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer to enhance structural integrity, and the edges are hand-smoothened for impeccable quality. Introduced in 2014, the innovative Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) is employed, making the parts 10-20% lighter than previous methods while improving durability. This process uses a single-mold vacuum to optimize fiber alignment. This hood is specifically designed for the Ford Mustang 2-door models from 2013 and 2014. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks come with a VIS badge of authenticity. Due to the nature of performance applications, hood pins are required for secure installation.
