It creates a larger volume between the upper and lower plenum to improve airflow to the cylinders. This spacer provides power gains across the board and opens up the upper RPM range.

The AAM Competition Angled Plenum Spacer is a direct-fit performance upgrade for N/A VQ35DE engines found in select Nissan and Infiniti models. Engineered from billet aluminum, this spacer increases the volume between the upper and lower intake plenums, promoting a more efficient rush of air to the cylinders. This results in noticeable power gains and an improved upper RPM range. Installation is straightforward and typically completed in under an hour. The process involves removing the upper plenum, inserting the spacer with a gasket, and reinstalling the upper plenum using the provided hardware. Spacers for the original strut bar are included for seamless integration. This plenum spacer is compatible with the 2003-2006 Nissan 350Z, the 2003-2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and the 2003-2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan. For 2006 350Z and G35 models, average gains range from 6-10hp. For earlier models, expect gains between 10-15HP.
