The Metra 40-EU10 is an antenna adapter that connects an aftermarket receiver to the factory antenna cable. It features a male Motorola plug on one end and a female OEM antenna jack on the other.

This adapter allows for the conversion of factory antenna connections in select European-made vehicles, including Volkswagen and BMW models, to a standard male Motorola connection. It is designed to work with 2000 and newer Volkswagen, BMW, and other European factory antenna connectors that utilize a mini-style plug. For optimal certainty, it is recommended to consult the Auto Install Guide. Additionally, this adapter is necessary when installing an FM Modulator, in conjunction with the 12040EU20.

The Metra 40-EU10 is an antenna adapter designed to bridge the gap between your vehicle's factory antenna system and an aftermarket stereo receiver. This adapter features a male Motorola plug on one end, which interfaces with most aftermarket head units, and a female OEM antenna jack on the other, connecting directly to your car's original antenna cable. It is suitable for use with 2000 and newer Volkswagen, BMW, and other European factory antenna connectors that are equipped with a mini-style plug. For users installing an FM Modulator, the 40-EU10 adapter is a required component, in addition to the 12040EU20. Metra provides this antenna adapter with a 1-year limited warranty for peace of mind.
