Apollo 4-Piston Front Big Brake Kit

This kit incorporates EBC Apollo 4-piston brake calipers, available in Street and Track versions. The Street calipers feature hard-anodized aluminum pistons and caliper bodies for reduced heat transfer and increased stiffness, corrosion-resistant stainless steel bleed screws, and dust boots to protect seals in harsh environments. Pad changes are simplified with a top-loading design. The Track version offers similar benefits but comes in a grey hard-anodized finish impervious to heat and brake fluid, utilizes stainless steel pistons, and omits dust boots due to extreme heat tolerance requirements. This kit utilizes Nissan 350Z rotors (324mm diameter, 30mm thickness) which provide approximately 25% greater thermal capacity than stock Si rotors. The rotor dimensions ensure compatibility with the factory brake dust shield and maintain a minimal brake bias change (<2%) for proper ABS system function. The caliper mounting brackets are constructed from anodized black billet 7075 aluminum. Installation considerations include potential requirements for specific brake lines for 8th and 9th gen Civic Si models. Users have reported that the Wunderladen caliper bracket offset may require shimming for optimal caliper centering and to prevent brake drag, with some suggesting specific M14x20 shims. Additionally, for 11th Gen Civics with stock wheels, the installation of this big brake kit requires the use of hub-centric wheel spacers (15mm or 18mm recommended), which may necessitate trimming of OEM wheel studs.
