It relocates the shifter rearward to improve ergonomics and align with custom chassis and interior layouts. This bolt-on system offers an adjustable solution without requiring tunnel modifications.

The FABbot AR5 Remote Shifter is engineered to address common problems encountered when installing Colorado-based AR5 transmissions into different vehicles. This remote shifter kit relocates the shifter rearward, offering adjustable positions at 4, 6, or 8 inches to better match your chassis and interior layout for a cleaner installation and more natural driving position. It improves ergonomics for custom chassis and swapped applications, and also reduces shift throw by approximately 20 percent. The shifter utilizes a Hurst-compatible bolt pattern, allowing for a wider selection of shift levers. Included in the kit are the remote shifter assembly and the necessary shifter-to-transmission mounting hardware. It is compatible with Colorado-based AR5 transmissions and specifically fits 2004 to 2012 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon AR5 platforms. Please note that a Hurst-compatible shift lever is required and not included with this kit. The shift knob thread size will depend on the selected shift lever.
