The Mobil Arapen RB 320 is a high-performance, long-life grease developed specifically for the roller bearings of railroad car journals where in-service re-lubrication is not provided for. It is formulated with a mineral base fluid and a mixed lithium/calcium soap thickener, adhering to an NLGI grade of 1.5. This grease provides exceptional oxidation stability, ensuring good lubrication throughout extended service or storage periods. It is highly resistant to chemical breakdown that can lead to detrimental acids or deposits, promoting long bearing life. The Mobil Arapen RB 320 also demonstrates remarkable shear stability, maintaining its consistency even after prolonged working within an anti-friction bearing. Its formulation has shown minimal impact on seal materials and exhibits a high resistance to structural change in the presence of water, further enhanced by rust inhibition. Fully approved against Specification M-942 of the Association of American Railroads for Journal Roller Bearings Grease, this product is suitable for non-field lubricated bearing applications. It is often used by major railroad journal bearing manufacturers as the factory-fill lubricant. The Mobil Arapen RB 320 has an application temperature range of -20ºC to +120ºC.
