The ARB CKSA12 is a 12V on-board air compressor, specifically designed as a critical component for ARB Air Locker systems, enabling the operation of single and dual locker setups. Beyond its primary function for air lockers, this compressor offers the utility of supplying air pressure for other essential tasks, such as refilling tires after off-road excursions. This unit boasts a compact design that achieves the highest airflow in its class relative to its size. The compressor utilizes an oil-less design and a hard-anodized cylinder bore with a PTFE-impregnated carbon fiber piston seal to reduce friction and enhance its service life. It operates at a maximum pressure of 100 PSI and has a duty cycle of 35% (21 minutes on / 39 minutes off), with an airflow rate of 0.98 CFM at 0 PSI and a current draw of 9 amps at no load. The CKSA12 comes as a kit that includes a pre-assembled compressor, mounting clamp, backing plate, pressure switch, wire loom, and all necessary mounting hardware, facilitating a straightforward installation. Its construction incorporates high-strength engineering materials, including military and aerospace-grade components, and features an anti-vibration sound-deadening mount for quieter operation. Additional features include a relocatable splash-resistant air filter for cleaner air intake, a high-density, washable sintered bronze air filter element, a Maxi-Fuse for circuit protection, and internal thermal protection for the motor to prevent damage from extreme temperatures. An over-pressure safety valve is also integrated for enhanced safety.
