Description

The ARB BP-51 (Bypass 51mm) shock absorbers are designed for increased oil volume, resulting in lower oil temperatures. They feature a 2-inch (51mm) piston and a 6061 grade aluminum shock absorber body with a type III, hard anodized finish for increased heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. The kit includes a remote reservoir for increased oil volume, high-temperature Teflon hoses with high-flow fittings, and large, Teflon-lined spherical bearings. It also features a 6061 grade aluminum spring seat, X5K grade steel coil (for coil over models with application-specific design), and a 6061 grade aluminum adjustor for spring preload and ride height. The top hat is also 6061 grade aluminum, and quality oversized rubber bushings are used for longevity. A remote reservoir piggyback clamp allows easy connection of the remote oil reservoir to the main shock absorber body. A replaceable, impact-resistant, high-density polyethylene shaft guard protects the shock absorber shaft from debris. The piston shaft is hard chromed and ground for strength and durability. External, independent rebound and compression adjustment allows fine-tuning of ride comfort and control to suit varying vehicle and trip requirements.
