ARP BB Chevy undercut head stud kit

ARP Pro Series head studs are manufactured from premium grade 8740 alloy and proprietary ARP2000 alloy, heat-treated to 200,000 psi for 8740 and 220,000 psi for ARP2000. Each stud is centerless ground for concentricity and thread rolled after heat-treat for improved fatigue strength (2000% better than studs threaded before heat-treat). Specially undercut studs (for shorter studs) equalize stretch for consistent clamping force and optimal engine sealing, preventing blown head gaskets. This kit is designed for Big Block Chevy 396, 402, 427, and 454 engines, including Cast Iron OEM, Mark IV with aluminum factory heads, and early Bowtie applications.
