These ARP Pro Series head studs are engineered for high-performance competition engines. They are made from premium grade 8740 alloy and a proprietary ARP2000 alloy, precisely heat-treated to 200,000 psi for 8740 material and 220,000 psi for ARP2000 material, ensuring superior strength and complete heat penetration. Each stud is centerless ground for perfect concentricity and threaded after heat-treat for significantly improved fatigue strength. ARP offers specially undercut studs for some engines to equalize stretch and create a more consistent clamping force, preventing blown head gaskets and ensuring optimum engine sealing.
