The Ksport Coilover System CBM062-AR is engineered specifically for asphalt rally competition, offering an advanced solution for demanding track conditions. The simultaneous adjustment of compression and rebound damping, available through 36 distinct levels, allows for precise tuning of handling and ride comfort to match driver preference and track conditions. Construction highlights include a monotube, high-pressure design that separates oil and gas, leading to superior heat dissipation, finer damping control, and reduced aeration and cavitation compared to twin-tube designs. Pillow ball top mounts, featured on many applications for both front and rear, contribute to maintaining OEM suspension geometry and providing a more direct connection to the road for enhanced driver feedback. Many top mounts also include camber adjustability, allowing for further alignment tuning directly through the coilover. The spring rates are set at 9.8 kg/mm for the front and 12 kg/mm for the rear. Durability and weight savings are achieved through the use of 6061 billet aluminum for collars and upper mounts, treated with T6 for increased hardness. The steel shock body is electroplated with zinc for robust protection against corrosion and the elements, while heavy-duty steel lower mounts add strength for aggressive track use. Height adjustment is managed through an adjustable spring perch, a design that allows for lowering the vehicle up to 3 inches from OEM height without sacrificing suspension travel, a critical factor in rally regulations. The valving is carefully matched to the installed springs to ensure optimal ride quality and reliability.
