This allows for precise tuning of the suspension to meet specific handling and comfort requirements. The use of pillow ball top mounts, included on many applications, helps maintain original suspension geometry and provides a more direct connection to the road for improved driver feedback. Camber adjustability is integrated into the pillow ball top mounts where applicable, simplifying alignment adjustments. Constructed with 6061 billet aluminum for the mounts and most components, this kit is lightweight, durable, and resistant to rust. The steel shock body is electroplated with zinc for added protection against the elements. Ksport utilizes a monotube design, which offers superior heat dissipation, finer damping adjustments, and greater resistance to aeration and cavitation compared to twin-tube designs, resulting in a more consistent and comfortable ride. The valving is carefully matched to the springs for optimal performance and reliability. This specific kit, CMZ140-AR, is designed for the 1986-1991 Mazda RX-7 (FC) with front spring rates of 8.7 kg/mm and rear spring rates of 7.2 kg/mm. Most applications allow for ride height adjustment, with the ability to lower the vehicle up to 3 inches from OEM levels. It is important to note that some rally sanctioning bodies have regulations regarding ride height, which should be considered by competitors.
