The Idemitsu ATF Type HP is an automatic transmission fluid specifically engineered to meet and exceed the requirements of Subaru automatic transmissions manufactured from 2005 onwards that call for Type HP fluid. This fluid is formulated with precisely engineered frictional characteristics to guarantee smooth shifting and outstanding anti-shudder performance, ensuring a comfortable driving experience. Its excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal breakdown contributes to a long fluid life and provides extended protection for critical transmission components. Furthermore, Idemitsu ATF Type HP ensures superior cleanliness by keeping the transmission free from harmful sludge and varnish deposits. Advanced anti-wear technology is incorporated to provide maximum protection for gears and bearings within the transmission. Additionally, the fluid exhibits excellent seal compatibility and conditioning properties, which effectively reduce the risk of fluid leaks caused by seal shrinkage, hardening, or cracking. This specialized formula ensures the longevity and optimal function of your Subaru's transmission. Key physical and chemical properties include a red clear liquid appearance, a density of 0.856 g/cm³ at 15°C, kinematic viscosity of 34.9 cSt at 40°C and 7.3 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 183, a pour point of -58°F (-50°C), and a flash point of 392°F (200°C). This product is available in 1-quart bottles.
