Atlas II 2.0-4.3:1 Gearbox

The Advance Adapters Atlas gear-driven transfer case represents the pinnacle of gearing and strength, with over 30,000 units sold. Renowned for its legendary performance in rock crawling and off-road driving, the Atlas Transfer Case is built with a bulletproof design to take you anywhere. It features a 356-T6 heat-treated aluminum case, helical-cut gears, and needle and taper roller bearings, requiring 2.0 quarts of lubrication. The high range is 1:1, with selectable low range options including 2.0:1, 3.0:1, 3.8:1, or 4.3:1. The fully synchronized unit offers shift-on-the-fly capability with cable shifters and various drive configurations like 2WD high, 4WD high, and 2WD low (rear or front axle). Installation of this transfer case requires specific considerations for JL Jeeps equipped with an automatic transmission. A Transmission Control Module flash is necessary to prevent the vehicle from entering limp mode due to mismatched transfer case ratios. A programmer like a Z Automotive or jscan OBD2 code reader is recommended for reprogramming the module with the correct Atlas ratios (e.g., 2.0:1 equates to 2.11:1, 3.0:1 to 3.030:1, etc.). The unit includes an adapter housing for replacing the stock Magna transfer case, along with adapter and spud shaft kits, cable shifter kits, a sight tube, and a computer-integrated adapter for electronics. This specific model, ATLAS-PS-JL-M, is designed for 2018 and newer Jeep JL models, including various Rubicon and Freedom trims with both 3.6L V6 and I4 Turbo engines. It is also compatible with the 392 and 4XE automatic transmissions. An installation kit including 2 quarts of oil (PNX11320) is available as an option.
