Atomic LS Intake Manifold

The MSD Atomic AirForce intake manifold is a two-piece polymer design engineered to increase the performance of stock and modified GM LS engine platforms, as well as the LT1 engine. Through Computational Fluid Dynamic modeling, MSD optimized plenum volume and improved flow paths into each intake runner. The unique runners are shaped with a bell-mouth form to equalize and maximize air flow, leading to dyno-proven bolt-on power gains of over 20 horsepower and 20 ft-lbs of torque compared to an OE manifold. It also showed gains of 36 HP and 16 ft-lbs of torque versus a leading competitor on a Lingenfelter LS7 Camaro L28. This intake is constructed from a polymer that resists heat and minimizes weight. Its two-piece design allows for porting and modification of the runners for specific applications. The manifold accepts OEM and aftermarket throttle bodies up to 103mm, and is compatible with most aftermarket fuel rails, OEM rails, and MSD Atomic LS electronic fuel rails. Additionally, molded bosses are included to ease the installation of nitrous fogger nozzles for racing use. The MSD Atomic AirForce intake manifold (PN 2701) is specifically designed for LS7 engines, including the 2014 Z28 Camaro and 2006-2013 Z06 Corvette. The installation process involves removing the OEM manifold, preparing the AirForce for installation by installing and torquing pinch bolts, and then installing the intake onto the engine. Specific notes are provided regarding the use of MSD-supplied bolts, torquing sequences, and potential interference with fuel lines. A caution is issued against overtightening fasteners to prevent damage to the intake assembly or cylinder head threads.
