Heat in the 68RFE transmission causes the stock thin cast channel plate in the valve body to warp, causing cross leaks and poor shift performance. To combat this common issue, ATS designed the BilletProof Channel Plate: A stress relieved 1" thick aluminum tooling plate precisely CNC machined to include all valve body channels, vent holes, and even includes pressure testing ports with engraved labels. Critical channels have been enlarged to allow additional fluid to feed the clutch packs ensuring a quick fill time.
