Description

The ATS Towing Valve Body addresses common issues with the throttle valves (TV Valve) in 48RE transmissions, which control shift timing and line pressure. Stock Dodge valve bodies are made from a soft material prone to wear. ATS utilizes a "Hydro-balanced Valve and Sleeve" design, altering the valve's shape and material and incorporating a hardened sleeve in the valve body's bore. This prevents sticking and wear, allowing for smoother operation and proper shifts. This design also enables a more aggressive line pressure slope, providing quality shifts and torque converter clutch engagement.
