The ATS 48RE Stage 1 Transmission Package significantly upgrades the 48RE automatic transmission in Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks (2004-2005) with 5.9L Cummins diesel engines. It features increased clutch count, durable Borg Warner and Raybestos clutch materials, and billet internal components for enhanced strength and reliability. The modified valve body allows for improved torque converter control and increased line pressure, ensuring smoother, quicker shifts under load. A billet input shaft and flex plate are recommended for optimal performance.
