AudioControl 6-Channel Line Driver

The AudioControl MATRIX PLUS is a 6-channel line driver engineered to significantly improve your car audio system's performance. Modern head units often have limited pre-amp output voltage, which can result in a weak signal, especially at lower volumes. The MATRIX PLUS addresses this by providing up to 24dB of gain, capable of boosting pre-amp signal levels to 9.5V RMS or 13V peak, ensuring a robust signal for your amplifiers and resulting in a more dynamic and powerful sound. This line driver offers versatile connectivity with six channels of input and output, utilizing balanced differential inputs to effectively cancel out noise picked up during signal transmission. The unit includes an optional dash control input for remote adjustment of master volume or subwoofer levels, with the ACR-1 remote control sold separately. For audiophiles focused on SPL, the internal linking system allows two input channels to drive all six outputs, with each output capable of powering up to seven amplifiers. Key features contributing to its superior performance include ultra-low distortion (<0.005% THD) and ultra-quiet operation (>110dB Signal-to-Noise ratio) across a wide frequency response of 10Hz-100kHz ±1dB. It also incorporates a PFM subsonic filter (18 dB/octave at 33 Hz) on the subwoofer output to prevent damage from low-frequency distortion. The selectable ground isolation feature helps to eliminate potential ground loop noise. For added durability, the PCB is conformally coated for increased resistance to the elements.
