The Tru-Cool LPD4452 is a professional automatic transmission oil cooler kit engineered for enhanced thermal management in performance and custom vehicle applications. This stacked plate cooler significantly outperforms traditional tube-and-fin designs, offering a smaller profile with superior cooling capabilities. It boasts up to 15X less flow restriction and 30% more cooling capacity than older designs, ensuring optimal transmission temperatures under demanding conditions. Constructed with durable brazed aluminum, the LPD4452 is built to last. Its self-regulating flow design ensures maximum lube flow protection across a wide range of operating conditions, including cold starts, varied temperatures, heavy loads, and towing. The unit is rated for a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 14,500 lbs and has a BTU rating of 9,800. Key specifications include a cooling fin area of 5-3/4” x 11” x 3/4” thick and 11/32" hose barb fittings. Installation is made straightforward with included hardware, featuring two styles of mounting options: quick connect nylon straps and steel mounting brackets. As an OEM subsidiary of the Dana Corporation, Tru-Cool products are known for their reliability, being specified in a majority of new vehicle installations.
