The TransGo RE4F04B-HD2 Reprogramming Kit is engineered to enhance the performance and reliability of the RE4F04B automatic transmission, particularly for vehicles modified with nitrous or turbochargers. This kit features a specialized valve designed for hot rod, street, and show applications, offering a firmer 4th gear and lockup. This kit addresses several common issues plaguing the RE4F04B transmission. It corrects and prevents rough 1-2 shifts when the transmission is cold, eliminates the problem of no 3rd gear engagement after 4-2 or 3-2 kick-down events, and resolves issues related to a leaky or worn direct clutch inner seal, which is a known design flaw. Additionally, it helps prevent soft 1-2 shifts and the transmission hitting the rev limiter due to long shifts. Included with the reprogramming kit are an upgraded direct (3rd) clutch seal and high-temperature, low-shrink sealing rings, ensuring durability and consistent performance. It is crucial to install all components as directed to avoid serious transmission damage. The TransGo RE4F04B-HD2 reprogramming kit is compatible with the following vehicles equipped with the RE4F04B transmission: Nissan Altima (2000-06), Maxima (2000-03), Sentra SE-R 2.5L (2000-06), Infinity i30 (2000-01), and Infinity i35 (2002).
