The ZF GA6HP26Z Automatic Transmission Service Kit provides essential OEM ZF components and fluid for performing a basic drain and fill service on your vehicle's 6-speed automatic transmission. This kit includes a transmission oil pan, transmission oil pan bolts, a transmission fluid filler plug, and the specified amount of automatic transmission fluid. Regular transmission service is crucial for maintaining performance and longevity. Neglecting fluid changes can lead to issues such as laggy or harsh shifts, poor gear engagement, and the potential for transmission pump starvation, which may manifest as an RPM-dependent whine. ZF recommends a service interval of 80,000km (50,000 miles) or 8 years, whichever comes first, for all 6HP transmissions. It is not a transmission flush service. The kit is compatible with a wide range of BMW models equipped with the GA6HP26Z transmission, including various iterations of the 545i, 550i, 645Ci, 650i, 745i, 745Li, 750i, 750Li, and 760Li from approximately 2002 through 2012. Fitment details specify automatic and manual RWD sedan, convertible, or coupe body styles with engines ranging from 4.4L V8 to 6.0L V12.
