The ThunderMax #309-562 is an award-winning, performance ECM engineered specifically for EFI-equipped Harley Davidson® motorcycles. This advanced, stand-alone tuning system employs proprietary AutoTune technology with wide-band oxygen sensors to deliver superior performance and rideability. The ThunderMax system is 100% assembled and ready for installation, requiring no wire-cutting or splicing – simply replace the factory ECM and oxygen sensors, load a map, and experience an improved ride. This system offers a comprehensive suite of adjustable features, including rev limit, idle speed, speedometer calibration, closed-loop AFR targets, and ignition timing maps. It also provides diagnostic capabilities, allowing you to read and clear codes through the odometer window, Digital Tech, or the ThunderMax software. Furthermore, it records running statistics and engine temperature logs in real-time, facilitating detailed analysis and tuning adjustments. Installation involves replacing the stock ECM and oxygen sensors with the ThunderMax module and included wide-band Bosch sensors. The system includes the ECM, two wide-band oxygen sensors with harness, a USB communication cable, TMax Tuner Software Disc, and a Quick Start Manual. For 2014-2016 Touring models, the wide-band sensors are designed to thread into 18mm x 1.5mm bungs near the exhaust port. Modifications may be necessary if retaining stock 2010-and-later exhaust headers or using aftermarket pipes configured for 12mm sensors. An important emissions notice states that this product is intended for "RACE READY" vehicles only and is not for sale or use on vehicles subject to emission control requirements. It should not be used on vehicles registered for public road use in California. The product excludes 2019 Trike® Models.
