Aux Pump Kit

The DSX Tuning Aux Pump Kit is a budget-friendly solution for increased fuel supply needs in 2014 and newer Corvettes. This kit bypasses the need to access the factory fuel tank by tapping into it and employing an external pump that integrates with the factory feed line. The system leverages the factory fuel pressure control module, ensuring the ECM accurately monitors fuel pressure even with the auxiliary pump engaged, thereby delivering a substantial increase in both pressure and flow. At the core of the C7 system is DSX Tuning's proprietary PnP controller, which utilizes CAN data for pump activation. This advanced controller integrates seamlessly into an easy-to-install harness with minimal connections, negating the need for extensive wiring or manual switches like a Hobbs switch. The pump is activated automatically when the ECM commands 500kPa or higher fuel pressure. It includes a soft-start feature that gradually brings the pump to full duty cycle, minimizing fuel pressure spikes. A convenient priming/purge function is also integrated, allowing users to key the vehicle on and press the gas pedal to activate the pump proportionally. The controller is also programmed to disable the pump driver during parking brake engagement or disengagement to protect factory wiring. The electronics are solid-state and self-protected, eliminating the failure points associated with fuses, mechanical switches, or relays. Constructed with PTFE-lined, smooth bore, crimped fuel lines, the system ensures leak-free operation and resistance to ethanol corrosion, preventing fuel odor permeation. These lines are pressure-tested by the manufacturer and rated for all fuel types. The lines are 8AN in size, with 6AN connections to maintain full flow. DSX Tuning emphasizes purpose-built components over repurposed parts, including a custom-made 74-micron stainless steel pre-filter and a one-piece billet tee fitting with a true push-connect design, secured by a stainless steel clip. Installation time is estimated at two hours and can be performed on jack stands, with a recommendation for a low fuel level in the tank prior to installation. While the kit can be installed before tuning, full benefits are realized with HP Tuners or EFILive software and a competent tuner on a dyno. DSX manufactured components are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, while the pumps themselves have a 90-day warranty.
