The Pioneer AVH-2500NEX is an in-dash 2-DIN multimedia DVD/MP3 stereo receiver designed to modernize vehicle audio systems through enhanced smartphone integration. The unit is built with a 24-bit True Color panel that provides smooth color gradation and a responsive user experience, designed specifically for today's smartphone-driven lifestyle. Technical connectivity includes integrated Bluetooth for hands-free phone operations and A2DP audio streaming, along with an external microphone. The receiver supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to access navigation and media apps directly through the display. Additional features include an HD Radio tuner, SiriusXM readiness, and Alexa Voice Control via the Pioneer Vozsis app. Installation and compatibility notes: This receiver utilizes a standard Double DIN chassis. While it is steering wheel control capable, please note that retaining steering wheel control functionality requires an aftermarket adapter, such as the Axxess ASWC-1, which is sold separately. Expansion options include inputs for a backup camera and a secondary camera for enhanced parking assistance. Performance context: The unit provides 50 watts of peak power across 4 channels, with a 13-band graphic equalizer for customizable sound profiles.
