The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1996D is a remanufactured axle assembly, meticulously rebuilt to the highest quality standards for precision and reliability. This unit is designed for Chrysler 8.25" differentials and is specifically tailored for 2000-2002 Dodge Dakota vehicles. This assembly features a 3.21 gear ratio and is configured for 2WD models equipped with a sway bar. It utilizes a Chrysler 8.25 Inch ring gear and a 10-bolt round cover. Zumbrota's remanufacturing process involves thorough inspection of all components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, with 100% replacement of all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims. The housing is inspected for straightness, cracks, and surface wear, and cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro-blast and rinsing process. Gears are set for optimal tooth contact patterns, correct rolling torque, and proper backlash to ensure longevity and quiet operation. Please note that this axle assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. It is built to order, with a core charge that is refundable upon return of your old, salvageable part.
