The G Force 1977-1990 B-Body Crossmember (RCB3-8L90) is engineered to provide a precise fit for a range of GM B-Body vehicles, including Caprice, Impala, LeSabre, Oldsmobile 88, Bonneville, Parisienne, and Catalina models produced between 1977 and 1990. This crossmember is specifically designed to accommodate the 8L90E Slip Yoke, 10L80E, and 10L90E transmissions, ensuring compatibility for your drivetrain swap or upgrade. To facilitate a seamless installation with the aforementioned transmissions, this crossmember includes the necessary GF-GMA™ Transmission Mount and the GF-8L90-A transmission mount adapter. These components are crucial for properly integrating the 8L90E and 10L90E tailshaft housings. The crossmember features a durable black powder-coated finish and comes with all the required mounting hardware for straightforward installation. Installation instructions note that to utilize the provided 7/16″ hardware, you will need to enlarge the holes in your frame rails with a 1/2″ drill. Alternatively, using stock-sized 3/8″ hardware is possible, but using new Grade #8 fasteners is strongly recommended for adequate strength. A distinguishing feature is the 1/2″ drain slot located on the bottom of the center tube on the passenger side.
