B/D Series Tucked Engine Harness

The Rywire B/D Series Tucked Engine Harness is engineered for enthusiasts performing B or D series engine swaps into 1988-1991 Honda Civic and CRX vehicles (EF chassis). This harness aims to replace aged, potentially compromised wiring with a clean, organized, and clearly labeled system. It integrates seamlessly with the vehicle's factory interior and shock tower connections, simplifying the swap process and helping to eliminate electrical gremlins. Constructed in the USA, this harness utilizes Mil-Spec Teflon coated wire with a high heat rating of 200°C, suitable for demanding engine bay environments where proximity to headers is common. While it features a single black wire color and expandable loom for cost-effectiveness, it retains professional construction with brand-new connectors, pneumatic crimps, and clear branch labeling. Each harness undergoes 100% pin-to-pin and resistance testing to ensure reliability. This kit includes the Rywire B1 base engine harness and the corresponding EF chassis jumper harness. The engine harness connects to essential sensors and components such as oil pressure, knock sensor, IAT, oxygen sensor, MAP, TPS, idle control, speed sensor, temperature sensors, starter signal, reverse light circuit, VTEC solenoid, and power distribution cap. Both OBD1 and OBD2 versions are available, but both utilize OBD1 ECU plugs (A, B, and D). The OBD1 version is for use with Hondata, Kpro, or stock OBD1 ECUs. The OBD2 version features OBD2 engine-side wiring and OBD1 ECU plugs, making it compatible with aftermarket ECUs using OBD2 connectors and some non-USDM OBD2 computers, often used with an OBD2 to OBD1 adapter harness. It is important to note that injector adapters, alternator adapters, distributor adapters, and charge harnesses are sold separately. Many B series swaps into EFs will require at least injector adapters due to differing plugs between engine generations. The modular design, with the harness splitting at the chassis jumper, allows for easier installation and future engine swaps into different EF chassis vehicles with the appropriate adapter.
