AEM Air Intake Systems increase horsepower and torque and improve engine sound. They are designed, tuned, and dyno-tested for specific vehicles, using mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes, powder-coated heat shields, and high-quality hardware to reduce restriction and intake temperature. This particular intake is not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards. The system uses an AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter, relocated to the passenger-side engine bay and protected by a heat shield. The intake tubing is mandrel-bent aluminum with a gunmetal gray powder-coated finish and connects to the throttle body with an AEM intake plenum system. It accommodates factory emissions control devices. The oil-free Dryflow air filter can last up to 100,000 miles before cleaning. Installation is straightforward with common tools.
