Description

The ADD W1 engine block girdle is a precisely CNC-machined component engineered to enhance the strength and stability of your Acura/Honda B-series engine. Its primary function is to minimize deflection and distortion in the bottom end and main bearing caps, making it crucial for engines pushed to higher RPMs and increased boost levels. Constructed from lightweight and durable aluminum, this girdle features a revolutionary design incorporating custom step-down dowels for superior performance. It is specifically designed for the LS VTEC B16, B18A, B18B, and B20 engine platforms, offering significant bottom-end reinforcement. Installation of this engine block girdle requires specific components and procedures. It necessitates the use of the GSR oil pan and requires GSR or Type R main cap bolts, oil pickup, and windage tray. Additionally, during reassembly, the GSR/ITR torque schedule must be followed instead of the standard LS or B16 schedule. Professional installation is recommended for optimal results. This engine block girdle is compatible with a range of Acura and Honda engines, including the B16, B17, B18, and B20 variants.
