The Spoon Sports engine is a fully assembled B16B engine designed for the Honda Civic EK9. It features Honda genuine parts, including a Spoon two-piece beam welding type head gasket that raises the compression ratio over the mass production engine. The STD size pistons and connecting rods are balanced to within a 2 g tolerance, with a weight tolerance of 0.02 g for precision assembly.

The Spoon Sports B16B engine is a meticulously assembled unit built upon Honda genuine parts, intended as a high-performance upgrade or replacement for the Honda Civic EK9. This engine raises the compression ratio beyond stock specifications using a Spoon two-piece beam welding type head gasket. It utilizes STD size pistons and connecting rods, with each component meticulously balanced to a total weight tolerance of within 2 grams, and an overall weight tolerance of 0.02 grams for exceptional precision. This engine boasts a displacement of 1595 cc, a bore of 81.0 mm, and a stroke of 77.4 mm, achieving a compression ratio of 11.1:1, which is higher than the mass production engine. The assembly process is carried out with extreme care, aiming for precision that far exceeds standard manufacturing tolerances. This is an order-made product, with an estimated lead time of approximately one month after order confirmation. The engine is compatible with EK9 Zenki and EK9 Kouki models.
