B18/B20 High-Compression Piston Kit

The SpeedFactory Racing B18/B20 Type R Race Spec High Compression Piston Kit is engineered for demanding all-motor engine builds, focusing on superior performance and reliability. Constructed from a strong AC9B hypereutectic aluminum alloy, these pistons offer greater strength than OEM components, along with improved scuff and seizure resistance and enhanced groove wear. Key design features include an enlarged top land for increased strength and breakage resistance, along with tighter piston-to-wall clearances. This reduces piston rocking, which leads to better ring seal and ultimately, more power. The pistons are also lightweight at 308g each and feature MoS2 skirt coating to minimize friction, prevent scuffing and wear, and prolong piston life and efficiency. This kit includes four pistons, wrist pins, premium 1.0*1.2*2.8 Gas Nitride Performance Ring Sets, and wrist pin clips. They are compatible with both OEM and aftermarket forged connecting rods; OEM rods should not use wrist pin clips, while aftermarket rods require them. The CNC machined crowns and 21mm floating wrist pins further contribute to their performance and durability. The pistons are suitable for B20B/Z and sleeved 84+mm B16A, B18A/B, and B18C engines. The kit provides approximate compression ratios ranging from 10.3:1 to 12.6:1 depending on the specific block, crank, rods, and head used. A note on piston-to-wall clearance indicates that it's calculated before coating application, and installers should use the piston kit's bore diameter. For limited nitrous or boost applications, an additional 0.0005” wall clearance is recommended.
