The Schroth B23A Bolt-In Mount Kit provides a solution for integrating modern FIA racing harnesses into older racecars, particularly when direct eyebolt installation is not feasible. This kit is essential as many current FIA-approved sedan harnesses utilize snap-in end plates for mounting, contrasting with the bolt-in design of most production vehicles. Each B23A kit contains two robust tabs, each rated for a 4000-pound pulling capacity. Specifications for each tab include a length of 85mm and a width of 34mm. They are equipped with one 12.5mm bolt hole for chassis mounting and one 18mm hole for the snap-in plate. The complete kit includes two tabs, two 7/16-20 SAE UNF bolts, two 7/16" ID spring washers, and two 7/16" ID dished washers. Each kit is sufficient for mounting both sides of one lap belt. These mounts are intended for racing applications but are not part of the harness homologation; verification with local tech inspectors is advised. The B23A kit is often used in Porsche applications where space for standard eye bolts is limited. It allows for a bolted chassis mount that can be bent to accept a snap-in bracket for harness fixation. This adapter is beneficial when stock mounting locations are insufficient or when thread pitches of eye bolts differ. It should be noted that while these are heavy-duty mounts for racing, they are not FIA approved when used as a clip-in adapter in this configuration.
