The VRSF B48 B46 B58 Front Mount Intercooler upgrade kit is engineered to replace the OEM BMW tube and fin intercooler, which is designed for lower boost levels. This upgrade is crucial for vehicles running increased boost and airflow, as the factory unit can become overwhelmed, leading to heat soak, power loss, and a higher potential for pre-detonation in the upper RPM range. The VRSF intercooler utilizes a high-density, dual-pass bar & plate core that effectively cools the charged air from the turbo before it reaches the engine, preventing heat soak and promoting more power and increased reliability. This intercooler features a durable black powder-coated finish and includes CNC-machined, plug-and-play fittings. The unit replaces the OEM BMW part number 17118741830.
