B58 Gen2 Flex Fuel ECA Kit

The Dorch Engineering B58 Gen2 Flex Fuel ECA Kit leverages advanced CAN-based ethanol sensor technology to enable true Flex Fuel operation for tuned Gen2 B58 engines. This system communicates directly with the DME, allowing for automatic, on-the-fly adjustments to the engine's tune based on the real-time ethanol content. This eliminates the need for manual calculations or flashing different maps when switching between fuel types, providing a seamless transition from high-powered E85 maps to standard pump gas maps. The kit integrates into the OEM harness and hoses, with components tucking away neatly to allow for the reinstallation of factory sound insulation and engine covers. The ethanol sensor is positioned as close to the injectors as possible to ensure minimal lag time in reporting the actual fuel mixture entering the combustion chamber. Installation is estimated to take approximately 30 minutes when added to a traditional HPFP installation, or about 1 hour on its own. It is important to note that this kit is ONLY compatible with Gen2 B58 equipped model years. The kit also offers flexibility for users who already have ECA hose/sensor sets, with an "electronics only" package available for updating to a CAN-ECA, and may fit other custom setups with a Continental ethanol sensor.
