Show original supplier description
The CTS Turbo High-Flow Catted Downpipe is engineered to replace the restrictive factory downpipe on BMW B58 engines, maximizing exhaust flow for significant power gains and an enhanced exhaust note. Crafted from premium T304 stainless steel, this downpipe features robust TIG welded, back-purged construction to ensure longevity and reliable performance under demanding conditions. Its design utilizes advanced CAD technology for a perfect fitment, seamlessly integrating with your BMW's existing exhaust system. This component boasts a high-flow 200-cell catalytic converter, designed to offer uncompromising performance while producing an aggressive, sporty exhaust sound during acceleration, yet remaining subtle and drone-free during cruising. The 4.5-inch diameter pipe construction further aids in maximizing exhaust gas velocity and flow efficiency. It is precisely designed and tested for real-world application on various BMW B58-equipped models. This downpipe is confirmed to fit both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and xDrive all-wheel-drive models. Applications include the 2016-2019 BMW 340i, 440i, 540i, 740i, M140i, and M240i, all equipped with the B58 engine. Please note that installation of this downpipe will require proper tuning software to manage and prevent a Check Engine Light (CEL) that is likely to occur due to the modified exhaust flow characteristics.
