The Bilstein B6 Performance strut cartridge is engineered to bring your VW or Audi's suspension back to its original factory ride quality. Designed as a direct OE replacement, this strut cartridge is a "bolt-in" part, making it suitable for a straightforward DIY installation. Common symptoms of a failing strut cartridge include noise over bumps, abnormal tire wear, vehicle wandering, poor steering response, and a harsh ride. Bilstein's B6 Performance series utilizes a larger piston area and quality manufacturing to deliver a superior driving experience. These shocks eliminate dead spots and provide extremely responsive valving for enhanced performance and handling. The monotube design ensures consistent, fade-free damping, contributing to shorter braking distances and reduced valve fatigue for extended component life. While maintaining stock ride height, this performance upgrade offers improved control, precise handling, and notable comfort. The strut cartridge features a robust monotube internal design, is gas-charged for optimal performance, and does not include coil-over springs. Its extended length measures 20.65 inches (524mm), with a collapsed length of 16.02 inches (407mm).
