The Bilstein B8 5100 series adjustable height struts are engineered for trucks and SUVs featuring a front OE coilover-style suspension. These monotube shock absorbers offer a direct upgrade for on and off-road handling, utilizing a 46mm digressive piston with a self-adjusting deflective disc valve for enhanced performance. The design incorporates multiple snap-ring grooves on the body, enabling adjustable spring seat positions that can provide 0-3 inches of front lift when used with factory coil springs, depending on the specific application. This leveling capability helps to create a balanced stance between the front and rear of the vehicle. Constructed with a durable monotube internal design and a zinc-plated finish, these shocks are built to withstand harsh environments, wet climates, and salty roads, providing excellent corrosion and rust resistance. The extended length is 24.35 inches, the collapsed length is 17.77 inches, and the travel is 6.44 inches. The upper mount type is a stem, and the lower mount type is an eyelet with a 16.4mm opening. A black bellows boot is included to protect the shaft. Each shock absorber is nitrogen gas charged for optimal performance under demanding conditions and comes with factory hardware, including necessary washers, bushings, and nuts, though factory shock mounting bolts are reused.
