The Bilstein B8 5100 Monotube Gas Shocks (part number 24-066464) are engineered for lifted trucks and SUVs, offering enhanced on- and off-road handling. Its monotube design, featuring a 46mm digressive piston, ensures efficient heat transfer and dissipation, minimizing shock fade even under demanding conditions. This shock absorber is ideal for vehicles with larger wheels and tires or those with a higher center of gravity due to a lift kit. Constructed for durability, the B8 5100 series can handle increased heavy-duty loads, towing, and rough off-road terrain. Its versatile design helps reduce body roll and nose dive, providing a more compliant ride over bumps and holes, making it suitable for daily drivers that also engage in off-roading. The zinc-plated finish offers excellent corrosion and rust resistance, ensuring longevity in harsh environments. This shock absorber is designed as a direct fit for a range of Dodge and Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 4WD models from 1994-2013, typically for applications with a 4-5 inch front lift. Factory hardware, including necessary washers, bushings, and nuts, is included, though mounting plates are sold separately. For factory-spec vehicles, Bilstein recommends the 4600 series shocks, as the 5100 series valving is specifically tuned for lifted applications and more aggressive use.
