The Bilstein B8 5100 rear monotube gas shock absorber, part number 24-065276, is engineered to enhance road handling characteristics for both on-road and off-road driving. Its 46mm monotube design and digressive piston provide superior performance, allowing for rapid heat transfer and dissipation to minimize shock fade. This makes it suitable for increased heavy-duty loads, towing, and demanding off-road terrain, offering a more compliant ride than the Bilstein 4600 series. It effectively reduces body roll and nose dive while providing a more compliant feel over bumps and holes, making it a versatile option for daily drivers that also engage in off-road activities. The durable zinc-plated finish offers excellent corrosion and rust resistance for longevity in harsh environments. Installation hardware, including necessary washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts, is included; however, factory shock mounting bolts are reused, and mounting plates are sold separately. Bilstein offers a limited lifetime warranty on this shock absorber, covering defects in material and workmanship for the original purchaser.
