Bilstein's B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) shock absorbers are engineered for trucks and SUVs featuring a front OE coilover suspension system. These monotube shocks are constructed with a durable zinc-plated finish and a 46mm digressive piston, paired with a self-adjusting deflective disc valve for consistent damping performance. The body is designed with snap-ring grooves, enabling multiple spring seat positions to achieve a front lift of 0-3 inches when used with OE springs, varying by specific application. These shock absorbers are specifically designed to fit the 2015-2020 Ford F-150. They offer increased wheel travel and enhanced handling characteristics, making them a straightforward solution for leveling the vehicle's stance. The product includes a spring seat and features a stem-style upper mount and a crossbar-style lower mount, with a non-adjustable damping setting and a monotube internal design. The B8 5100 series is designed to work with OE springs to provide a leveled stance. Installation involves selecting the appropriate snap-ring groove for the desired ride height. The extended length is 22.41 inches, and the collapsed length is 16.91 inches, with a stroke travel length of 5.50 inches.
