The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus shock absorber is a 46mm monotube design specifically engineered for vehicles equipped with aftermarket lowering springs. This series is optimized to maintain proper suspension geometry, thereby maximizing handling benefits when your vehicle is lowered. These dampers provide a firmer, more responsive damping profile, which translates to precise steering input and enhanced road feel. The Bilstein B8 enhances cornering stability and significantly reduces body roll, allowing for sharper and more controlled turns. Despite the performance improvements, the design focuses on maintaining ride comfort, striking a balance between enhanced control and everyday drivability. All necessary washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts are typically included, though factory shock mounting bolts are reused for installation, and mounting plates may be sold separately.
