This kit is designed to upgrade the rear braking system of 1979-1992 Ford Mustang models (with 8.8-inch C-clip rear end and 5-lug axles). It improves stopping power and heat dissipation through larger rotors and multi-piston calipers. The calipers are CNC-machined from forged or billet aluminum with hard anodized aluminum pistons and stainless steel abutments, finished in Grabber Blue powder coat. The rotors are one-piece, vented, slotted, drilled, and zinc plated for rust resistance and cooling. Installation is straightforward, using a unique backing plate that integrates the parking brake assembly, requiring no drilling of hubs or rotors. A master cylinder upgrade is recommended for optimal performance.
