The BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3 is a specialized desert racing tire, representing the latest evolution of their winningest treads in SCORE desert racing. Building upon the foundation of the race-winning Baja T/A KR2, the KR3 evolves into a 40×12.50R18 radial race tire, featuring tough sidewalls and an aggressive tread pattern engineered to conquer challenging desert environments. Key improvements over the KR2 include a 44% increase in the number of biting edges, a profile that is 1.25 inches taller and 1 inch narrower, and a weight that is 5 lbs lighter than a 39-inch KR2. Despite its larger diameter, the KR3 boasts lower rotational inertia. This design translates to more progressive traction and more predictable lateral grip, significantly enhancing the vehicle's handling and stability off-road. Drivers will also experience significantly improved comfort and speed when navigating bumpy terrain. This tire is explicitly for race use only and is not DOT-approved or legal for highway use. The application list indicates it is a universal fit for racing purposes.
