The LC Engineering Balance Shaft Removal Kit is engineered to eliminate the balance shafts in 3RZ and 2TR engines. This comprehensive kit includes new bearings, replacement inserts, a billet aluminum install driver, an oil squirter for proper chain lubrication, a drill bit, and a tap to plug the oil galley. LC Engineering prefers to see balance shafts removed, as they are recognized as one of the few common bottom-end issues encountered with these specific engines. An optional upgrade is available: the OEM 2RZ crank position sensor rotor. This is recommended for 3RZ engines undergoing a balance shaft removal, especially under stressful conditions, as the 3RZ gear has been noted to be inferior and prone to failure, potentially causing engine damage.
