Bald Eagle LS3 Camshaft

The Texas Speed "Bald Eagle" LS3 Camshaft is a high-performance camshaft developed in collaboration with "Cleetus" McFarland, specifically engineered for supercharged LS3 and LSA engines. This "Boosted" version features an intake duration of 229 degrees and an exhaust duration of 242 degrees at .050" lift, with a consistent .600" lift for both intake and exhaust. The camshaft boasts a 115 LSA (Lobe Separation Angle) and a 111 ICL (Intake Centerline), contributing to its aggressive yet manageable performance profile. It is recommended for supercharged applications but can also be ordered for naturally-aspirated setups. For vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, a minimum torque converter stall speed of 2,800 RPM is required to effectively utilize the camshaft's powerband. This camshaft utilizes a 3-bolt timing gear pattern. If your OE LS3 camshaft is a single-bolt type, a 3-bolt conversion kit, including a new timing sprocket and an ARP cam bolt, will be necessary for installation. Furthermore, this camshaft requires the removal of any factory-installed DOD/AFM (Displacement on Demand/Active Fuel Management) and VVT (Variable Valve Timing) systems. Texas Speed & Performance recommends pairing this camshaft with their TSP dual spring kit, which includes PAC Racing polished dual valve springs, titanium retainers, spring seats, and valve seals, to ensure optimal valvetrain stability and performance.
