The Ballenger Motorsports AFR500CANv3 Air Fuel Ratio Monitor Kit is a digital wideband O2 system specifically preconfigured for vehicles utilizing HP Tuners' software, ensuring seamless integration for tuning and diagnostics. This AFR500v3CAN kit is capable of reading air-fuel ratio values from 9.0:1 to 16.0:1 (0.62-1.1λ) with a resolution of 0.1, offering excellent precision within the tuning range of most performance vehicles. It features an enhanced digital/analog converter with 4X the measurement resolution (4096 increments compared to the previous 1024). The kit includes a large, bright digital display controller, a 13ft wiring harness with sealed connections, and an NTK Production Grade Sensor. It also comes with a weld-in steel exhaust boss and plug, mounting velcro, and comprehensive installation, troubleshooting, and tuning manuals, including a CAN-specific addendum. Key enhancements in the AFR500v3CAN model include a programmable CAN termination resistor, a sensor averaging filter setting, O2% output, fault condition diagnostics, IP and pump cell current output, sensor temperature output, heater duty cycle output, and battery voltage output. The unit offers a 0-5 volt analog output signal and accepts 11-28 volt input power, making it compatible with most aftermarket ECUs and 24v systems. The PC software included allows for full digital programmability of the CAN or OBDII message structure without the need for extra adapters or hardware.
