The PRL Motorsports intercooler upgrade directly addresses the issue of heat-soak prevalent in Honda's newer turbocharged engines, which can lead to detonation and significant power loss. This upgrade features a robust bar-and-plate core, measuring 27 x 3.5 x 7.25 inches and rated for over 550 horsepower. The core design increases surface area by 85% and internal flow by 83%, ensuring optimal charge air cooling and airflow. It comes with all necessary hardware for a seamless fit. The product is CARB Approved with Executive Order D-878, making it 50 State Legal. However, it is explicitly stated that the product is NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN CALIFORNIA ON ANY EMISSION CONTROLLED MOTOR VEHICLE. This intercooler is engineered for the 2018-2022 Honda Accord with 2.0T and 1.5T engines, fitting all variant models including 10AT, 6MT, RHD, and International versions. Minor modifications and the purchase of an intercooler install kit are required for certain 2019+ Acura RDX 2.0T and 2021+ TLX 2.0T applications. Importantly, no ECU calibration is required after installation.
